On 21 November, during the 2019 Ceramic Days, the FEPF (European Federation of Ceramic Table- and Ornamentalware) General Assembly appointed its new president, Dr. Tillmann Blaschke.

Mr Blaschke, a German national, is the Managing Director of Staatliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Meissen, the historical European porcelain producer since 1708.

Mr Blaschke, as FEPF President, will also be a member of the Cerame-Unie Board of Presidents.

His three year mandate starting effectively in January 2020 follows the mandate of current FEPF President Mr. Roberto Sala, administrator of I.P.A. Industria Porcellane S.p.A., one of the leading manufacturers of coffee cups for the professional market and member of Confindustria Ceramica.

On this occasion the FEPF General Assembly has also appointed its new Vice-President, Mr. Marcelo Franco de Sousa, Managing Director of Matceramica, a major Portuguese manufacturer of tableware in earthenware and stoneware.

Following his appointment Dr. Blaschke said “I am most pleased about the opportunity to continue the excellent work of my predecessor Roberto Sala. I look forward to further developing awareness of the challenges and obstacles to the European tableware industry  and the joint effort of the partners in the sector in search for solutions”.
