Cerame-Unie reads today with interest the launch of a third case against China's restrictions on export of raw materials essential for European industries.

Following EU legal actions in 2012 and 2014 on similar measures, the EU is now focusing on restrictions on graphite, cobalt, copper, lead, chromium, magnesia, talcum, tantalum, tin, antimony and indium.

Graphite, cobalt, chromium, magnesia, antimony and indium are among the twenty raw materials identified in 2013 as essential to maintaining and improving our quality of life and critical to Europe’s economy.

This EU action follows the WTO challenge of the US against China’s export duties on nine key raw materials in order to level the playing field for American manufacturers.
