On 4 May Cerame-Unie attended the EPP hearing on the Environmental Goods Agreement (EGA) at the European Parliament, at which EU Trade Commissioner Malmström gave the keynote address.
The European Commission published a Sustainability Impact Assessment on the EGA assessing its economic, environmental and social impact. Cerame-Unie published its position on the EGA, highlighting the need to keep ceramic products outside of the scope of the Agreement.
The 14th negotiations round will take place in the week of 20 June.
