On 16 July 2014 European Commission DG RTD (Directorate D "Key Enabling Technologies", Unit D3) launched a survey aimed at developing a research and innovation roadmap for sustainable construction materials. Entitled Which materials for sustainable construction?, the main goals of this survey were: first, to identify and prioritise research and innovation needs for new advanced materials; and second, to propose solutions to overcome barriers to the exploitation and deployment of research results for materials in the construction industry. Thanks to input from members, Cerame-Unie replied to this consultation and delivered key messages.
