On 22 December 2015 the European Commission launched a public consultation on the functioning of the Auctioning Regulation pursuant to the scheme for greenhouse gas emission allowances trading (EU ETS). The consultation covers aspects such as general provisions on the design of the auctions, access to the auctions, appointment of auction platforms and transparency and confidentiality in performing the auctions.

All relevant stakeholders can reply to this consultation by 15 March 2016.
