Brussels, Belgium
The European Ceramic Days, the preeminent policy event for Europe’s ceramic manufacturers, took place from Tuesday 21 November until Wednesday 22 November. Although the Cerame-Unie General Assembly and sectoral meetings were reserved for members, the public conference on 22 November was open to the public.
The conference on the current trends in research & innovation in ceramics at European level, reviewed the progress made over the last years under Horizon 2020 and discussed the key obstacles to increase cooperation in a sector with great potential for innovation but largely composed of SMEs. The conference was moderated by Peter Woodward and explored this topic with a focus on resource & CO2/energy efficiency and digitalization & advanced technologies.
After the successful close of the 2017 edition, we look forward with great anticipation to hosting the next European Ceramic Days on 27 and 28 November 2018.
As the main policy event for Europe’s ceramic manufacturers, the Ceramic Days present a key occasion for representatives from all ceramic sectors, experts and policymakers to exchange ideas at sectoral and public events.
