Cerame-Unie Aisbl (CU) is the European Ceramic Industry Association. Based in Brussels since 1962, it is the voice of the European ceramic industry to the EU institutions. The European ceramic industry accounts for a total annual turnover of €31 billion and generates over 200,000 direct jobs. At the EU level, the industry is involved in policy debates in the fields of climate change, construction, energy, environment and health, internal market, international trade, and research and innovation. The intern will gain practical knowledge and better understanding of organisational aspects of a European trade association, more particularly aspects related to planning and organising workshops, meetings, and events:

 

TASKS:

  • Assisting with aspects related to planning and logistics for meetings, working groups and congresses and events;
  • Contacts with Cerame-Unie membership, manage phone calls, welcome visitors;
  • Support for the maintenance of the contact data base (CRM);
  • Administrative support to the Cerame-Unie team.

PROFILE:

  • Very good command of written and spoken English, French is a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives;
  • Planning oriented and efficient;
  • Proven eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in a small team.
