Cerame-Unie Aisbl (CU) is the European Ceramic Industry Association. Based in Brussels since 1962, it is the voice of the European ceramic industry to the EU institutions. The European ceramic industry accounts for a total annual turnover of €31 billion and generates over 200,000 direct jobs. At the EU level, the industry is involved in policy debates in the fields of climate change, construction, energy, environment and health, internal market, international trade, and research and innovation. The intern will gain practical knowledge of communications in the context of European affairs and in relation to the numerous policy fields relevant to the ceramic industry.

 

TASKS:

  • Assistance in coordinating, writing, editing, layouting, distributing all sectoral and CU publications;
  • Updating CU and sectoral websites and social media;
  • Contributing to the further development of communications activities;
  • Developing communication tools for CU and sectoral events/congresses in Brussels and abroad;
  • Contributing to horizontal tasks within a small team.

PROFILE:

  • University degree (Degree in communications or political sciences is a plus);
  • Near-native English, other languages are a plus;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiatives;
  • Proven eye for detail and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Publisher;
  • Experience and ease with online programmes, website management and social media (especially Twitter);
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in a small team.
