Internship in Environment and Technical Affairs

CERAME-UNIE (aisbl) is the European Ceramic Industry Association. It has been based in Brussels since 1962 as the representation of the European ceramic industry to the EU institutions. At EU level, the industry is involved in policy debates in the fields of construction, environment, energy & climate change, international trade and research & innovation. The intern will gain practical knowledge and better understanding of EU environmental policy and ceramic manufacturing processes while carrying out different tasks:

  • Support in regulatory activities in the fields of environmental affairs e.g. Industrial Emissions, Ceramics BREF review, REACH
  • Support in collecting and analysing environmental data
  • Support in communication activities e.g. writing of newsletter articles, reports
  • Support of event organisation and promotion
  • Participation at external events and meetings

Profile:

  • Educational background in engineering or science, knowledge on manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of European environmental policy is a plus
  • Very good command of written and spoken English
  • Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows tools including Excel, Word, Power Point

The position is available starting from January/February 2020 (starting date is flexible) for 6 months.
