The European Commission’s 2015 Work Programme announced a cumulative cost assessment for the EU glass and ceramic industry. It will analyse the regulatory costs incurred by the most relevant EU legislation and policies for the EU glass and ceramics industry. Special focus will be placed on the impact of EU legislation on profit margins and international competitiveness. The cost assessment is part of the European Commission’s REFIT actions which aim at making EU legislation less burdensome.
